An Evening of Jewish Healing Chant
Thursday, May 3rd | 7:00pm-8:00pm
God told Moses, "Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness..." Chanting takes the song that is in our mouths and plants it deep in our hearts. There it can grow and flower and bring forth the fruits of constant remembrance. – Rabbi Shefa Gold Jewish healing chanting is an ancient tradition of taking a particular verse or phrase from Jewish tradition and invites us to sit with it as it enters our soul. We raise the chant up and then, as it departs, sit in silent meditation. Join Rabbi James for an evening of healing chant. This is an opportunity for music lovers, singers and those who like to listen, to all come together and “let the song be a witness. Free and open to the public. For more information, contact the APJCC Center for Jewish Life and Learning at 408.357.7411 or cjll@svjcc.org.
