The Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center offers films, theatrical performances, and concerts in the APJCC Auditorium, as well as art exhibits in our second floor art gallery hall.
Spectacles of Devotion: An Ecumenical Suite December 5th, 2011 – February 29th, 2012
Artist Barry Shapiro looks at several religious minorities, in public and/or at prayer. His works explore how people at prayer appear to others, and what appears to them during their devotions. The viewer is invited to participate in the visual interplay between what is actually happening and what is actively imagined. Artwork available for sale and a portion of all proceeds help support the arts at the APJCC. Artist will be lecturing as part of the Jewbilee celebration on January 22nd. Join us for a fun filled afternoon starting with a lox brunch at the APJCC’s L’Chaim Café. We will then carpool to and from the Tabard Theatre for the comedy of CROSSING DELANCY. Cost includes play admission, lox brunch and carpool, $30 for APJCC Members and $35 for Non-Members. Elixir of Love for Families/The Movie
Sunday March 11th | 1:00pm Created from San Francisco’s Opera’s production, this one hour film is the perfect way for children to learn about the magic of opera. This whimsical tale of Donizetti’s opera tales place in the beautiful setting of a Napa Valley county fair in 1915 complete with leatherhead football and a Model-T truck! Dinner and a Movie: The Prince of Egypt

Come join us for a late afternoon family event. Enjoy good food while be entertained by the new classic film, The Prince of Egypt. This epic drama of heritage and destiny is the story of Moses and his passage from slave to prince to deliverer and is one that has endured for thousands of years, inspiring generation after generation with its timeless themes of faith, hope, and freedom.
